Linus Wittich editing company publishes official local newspapers for towns and counties across Germany. In order to collect editorial content, the more than 900 local authorities and their journalists can use local databases and a web-based system. A 4D-based middleware solution, developed by Ingenious of Leipzig, Germany, connects these systems and databases in 13 different locations. The software solution controls the automatic data import of all articles, written by the local authorities into the programs of the publishing mills. The interface works with zero administration and has already brought many advantages to Wittich, such as eliminating double entries and transmission errors.
